The Wilder family settled down in Mansfield, Missouri in 1894.
Though they stayed in touch with the Ingalls and Wilder families and even saw
them at times, their new family life was quite different than their growing up
years as described in the Little House books.
The tenth chapter of THE LAURA INGALLS WILDER COMPANION: A
CHAPTER-BY-CHAPTER GUIDE is titled “What Happened Next” Because we all
want to know what happened to the Ingalls and Wilder families after the final Little House book.
