Who’s ready for some Little House love? Laura Ingalls Wilder’s books are so rich with history.
It was easy for me to think about what I wanted to research and share with readers. A few (of the many) things I shared about were ice houses, tin peddlers (and rags), the plague of locusts, claim shanties, railroad towns, teenage teachers, and self-turning doughnuts.
If you’ve ever been curious about some of the history behind the Little House books--the people or American history, I hope you’ll read The Laura Ingalls Wilder Companion: A Chapter-by-Chapter Guide.
